Elon Musk , on ‘X’ shared an update of him reaching ‘amazing’ Japan. Musk, who shares a bittersweet relationship with Japan, has arrived in the east Asian nation, days after a row over a fake ‘X’ account of Masato Kanda, Japan’s top diplomat.

In a rare warning, Japan has asked Elon Musk to delete the “fake” account of currency diplomat Masato Kanda. The ministry in a post said, “Please don’t follow the impersonation account and/or comment on the post.”


As per a report by BBC, Kanda is a key figure in efforts by the world’s third largest economy to stabilise the value of the yen.

Tesla’s boss responds to data showing that in 2021 the population fell by a record 644,000, the 11th consecutive year of decline. This comment of Musks faced sharp criticism of the Japanese government.

In June, it was reported by Japan’s Yomiuri newspaper that the Japanese military was testing Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet service with a view to adopting it next fiscal year. According to the Yomiuri, the Department of Defense already has access to communications satellites in geostationary orbit, but using the Starlink technology operated by Musk’s SpaceX would add to the constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit.

According to reports, this week in China, Tesla Inc. made its second round of price cuts, further fuelling concerns the carmaker is reigniting a price war.

On Wednesday, according to an official WeChat account The company cut the prices of its Model S sedans and Model X SUVs by 70,000 yuan ($9,600) to 754,900 yuan and 836,000 yuan, respectively.
