India to present its stance at IMF amid Indo-Pak tensions, says Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri

As tensions continue to escalate between India and Pakistan, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed that India will present its viewpoint at the ongoing IMF meeting, amid rising global scrutiny of the regional situation.

IMF meeting is going on today. We will present our side in the meeting. Our perspective on these things will be shared with the fellow members. It is on the board to decide further,” Misri said during a press briefing in Delhi.

He added that India had “responsibly and adequately responded” to Pakistan’s provocations earlier on May 9, reaffirming the country’s measured yet firm approach to the evolving security landscape.

This comes just days after India launched Operation Sindoor, targeting multiple terror camps in Pakistan and PoJK following the deadly Pahalgam attack on April 22, which claimed 26 lives. The situation remains sensitive, with both military and diplomatic channels closely monitored by international institutions.
