India-Pakistan DGMO-level talks conclude amid ceasefire coordination: Report

The Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan concluded their scheduled hotline conversation late Monday evening. The discussions come in the wake of heightened cross-border tensions and the recent ceasefire understanding reached between the two nations on May 10.

Originally slated for noon, the talks were postponed to the evening and were held after India’s tri-services briefing at 2:30 PM, which outlined the operational outcomes of Operation Sindoor. The conversation was aimed at reinforcing the ceasefire, ensuring stability along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border, and preventing further escalation.

Indian officials had earlier clarified that such talks would remain strictly military in nature, with no engagement on political matters like Kashmir or the Indus Waters Treaty.

Further details from the DGMO exchange are expected to be released by the Indian defence ministry shortly.
