India and China to hold the 6th Round of Military Level Talks

Indian Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh reiterated the administration’s commitment to restoring the status quo to what it was before April 2020.

Tension along the Line of Actual Control between India and China have escalated. So far it has been reported that it has been difficult to reach consensus as China shows no signs of restoring the status quo in Ladakh.

In the Monsoon session of the parliament this week, Indian Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh reiterated the administration’s commitment to restoring the status quo to what it was before April 2020. In the Rajya Sabha, the Defence Minister said, “No force in the world can stop Indian jawans from patrolling. If our soldiers have made sacrifices, it is for this reason that they have laid down their lives.”

It has now been reported that the sixth round of military-level talks is to be held between the two countries.
The agenda for these talks were discussed in a meeting between Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane and some other top officials.

The dates for the talks are yet to be finalized.
