The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is set to make his first official visit to India on September 9-10, 2024. He will be holding wide-ranging discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi aimed at enhancing the strong partnership between India and the UAE.
The Crown Prince, accompanied by UAE ministers and a business delegation, will focus on further strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations. His visit will include meetings with Indian leaders, including a discussion with the President of India, and a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.
On September 10, he will participate in a Business Forum in Mumbai to explore new areas of cooperation, especially in sectors such as trade, investment, energy, and technology.
India and the UAE share deep ties, and in recent years, their relationship has flourished across many sectors. With agreements like the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the Local Currency Settlement System in place, the visit is expected to further boost their trade and economic relations.
In 2022-23, bilateral trade between the two countries reached $85 billion, making the UAE one of India’s top trading partners and investors. This visit is anticipated to create new opportunities for collaboration across multiple areas.
