The Congress on Thursday supported the “Bharat bandh” call given by farmer organisations for Friday, Sep 25 saying millions of party workers stand in solidarity with the farmers’ cause and will participate in their protests.
Chief Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that while the farmers and the farm labourers work hard to bring food to our plate, the Modi government is exploiting them and their interests.
“The diabolical and debilitating attack on farmers and farm labourers by the three ‘black bills’ of the Modi government will be decisively defeated. The Congress and Rahul Gandhi stand solidly with farmers and support the Bharat Bandh. Congress workers and leaders will join farmers’ dharna and protests,” he tweeted.
Earlier former Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi said in a tweet, ” Modi government’s priorities-instead of talking to farmers and workers to find a solution to their problems, busy in PR.”
The Congress has decided to take out marches in every state after which memorandums will be submitted to the respective governors on September 28 against these farm bills, which it says are against the interest of farmers and farm labourers.
Several protests across the country, especially in the Punjab and Haryana region were observed post the passage of the bill, where the MSP’s are more prominent and the farmers in those regions have called for a protest today to oppose the bills.

किसान-खेत मज़दूर पेट में अंगारे जला देश का पेट पालता है और मोदी सरकार ने उनके खेत-खलिहान पर हमला बोला है।
