In Chhattisgarh’s Durg, a video of a burglar being questioned at a police station has gone viral because the thief claimed he spent all the money he made by feeding stray animals and livestock. The burglar claimed to have also given blankets to the underprivileged. In the video, Durg Superintendent of Police Dr. Abhishek Pallava questions the thief as other officials in the room chuckle in response to his questions.
Bhilai Times first posted the footage to social media. The footage was also tweeted by journalist Shubhankar Mishra, to which many social media users reacted and dubbed the robber “Robinhood,” “Krantikari chor,” etc.
“Chori karke achha laga (I felt good after stealing),” the thief told the SP adding that he regretted it later. He said that he realised it was wrong afterwards as the officer questioned him about the cause. Everyone in the room chuckled.
The officer questioned him, “How much did you get?” He claimed to have received 10,000 and given it to the underprivileged. He claimed he used the funds to help the underprivileged and stray animals huddled in the cold.
