Who is Sajid Mir, The Planner of the 26/11 attacks ?

The terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba is comprised of Sajid Mir, a Pakistani native from Lahore. During the terrorist strikes in Mumbai on November 26, 2008, Sajid Mir served as the primary planner. Sajid had also been in charge of the international branch of Lashkar-e-Taiba’s “foreign affairs” department.

After French magistrate Jean-Louis Bruguière informed writer Sebastian Rotella that Sajid Mir is not a fictional persona, it was later proven that Sajid Mir is not a fictional character, contrary to Pakistan’s first assertion. Sajid Mir is a regular official in the Pakistan Army, according to Jean-Louis Bruguiere’s 2009 statement.

Sajid Mir was been accused in the US in 2011 following the 2008 Mumbai bombings. The Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Department of the Treasury designated him as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist and added him to the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List on August 30, 2012. A reward of up to $5 million is offered for information that results in Mir’s arrest on the Rewards for Justice Terror List maintained by the US Department of State. His name is also on the FBI Most Wanted Terrorists list. China has stopped the United Nations Security Council from adding Mir to the list of those subject to sanctions under the Al-Qaeda and Taliban Sanctions Committee.
