After India became the first nation to land on the southern lunar pole, Indian Space Research Organization has tweeted to celebrate it.
It said,
“Chandrayaan-3 Mission: ‘India, I reached my destination and you too!’ : Chandrayaan-3 has successfully soft-landed on the moon !. Congratulations, India!”
PM Modi, in his address to the world post the landing, said that this feat would help the world in their future lunar mission. He congratulated the nation and the ISRO.
Days after the Russian probe Luna-25 crashed in the same area, India made history by being the first country to land the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft of the Indian Space Research Organisation there.
The United States, Russia, and China are the only other nations that have made a soft landing on the surface of the moon prior to India.
“India is now on the Moon,” ISRO Director S. Somnath had declared after Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander had successfully touched down there.
