On Monday, March 14, the second part of the Budget session is set to be presented in Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Jammu & Kashmir budget for FY22-23. “Finance Minister to present a statement of estimated receipts and expenditure of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the year 2022-23,” read a statement from the finance ministry.
The COVID-19 protocols will be followed by both houses. Social distancing & seating arrangement of the members will be planned as per the protocols. In Rajya Sabha from 245 seats, only 139 will be occupied by the MPs the rest of the 98 administrators will be seated in the gallery.
Similarly, for Lok Sabha, only 282 members will be inside the chamber out of 538 members & the rest will be seated in the gallery. An additional of 19 hours of budget time is allotted to Rajya Sabha. The house will sit from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for a total of nineteen sittings. The second half of the budget session will conclude on April 8.
