
Mumbai, June 17: The BSE Sensex on Friday slipped 135.37 pts to settle at 51,360.42 as selling was seen in Oil and Gas, Health Care and Energy stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too slid 67.10 pts at 15,293.50.
The Sensex dropped 314 pts at 51,181.99. During the session. It was plummeted 574 pts at 50,921.22. Days low before closing at 51,360.42 from its previous close.
The Sensex registered days high and low at 51,652.83 and 50,921.22 pts respectively.
The Nifty recorded days high and low at 15,400.40 and 15,183.40 respectively.
The sectoral indices like Oil and Gas, Consumer Durable, Health Care and Energy dragged the market today.
In scrips, Titan was a major loser, fell 6.06 pc to Rs 1935.35 followed by Wipro by 4.07 pc to Rs 405.20, Dr Reddy’s Lab by 3.27 pc to Rs 4146.90, Asian Paints by 2.79 pc to Rs 2583.20 and Sun Pharma by 2.78 pc to Rs 791.60.
The gainers were Bajaj Finance by 2.63 pc to Rs 5422.70, Bajaj Finserv by 2.47 pc to Rs 11,758.40, ICICI Bank by 1.43 pc to Rs 688.10 and HDFC Bank by 1.22 pc to Rs 1296.80.
The Mid Cap fell by 0.68 pc and Small Cap by 0.88 pc.
In 30 scrips, 9 advanced while 21 declined.
The Asian Market was seen weak as Australia down by 1.77 pc. Followed by Japan by 1.77 pc and Taiwan by 1.25 pc.
