Born on July 3, 1984, in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, Avadh Ojha comes from a humble background. His father, Shrimata Prasad Ojha, was a postmaster, and his mother was a lawyer. Despite financial challenges, including selling five acres of land for education, his parents supported his aspirations. Ojha completed his early education in Gonda and later graduated after studying at Fatima Inter School.
Ojha initially aimed to become an IAS officer and prepared for the UPSC exams in Delhi. Although he cleared the prelims, he could not qualify for the mains, which led him to a career in teaching. Starting at a coaching institute in Allahabad, he initially faced criticism from students but adapted his teaching style based on feedback, eventually gaining widespread popularity. He later ventured into online teaching through his YouTube channel, further expanding his reach.
According to reports, Ojha’s net worth is estimated at Rs 11 crore. His UPSC GS Foundation Course fees range from Rs 80,000 (online) to Rs 1.2 lakh (offline), reflecting the high demand for his classes.
Ojha’s entry into politics with the Aam Aadmi Party is seen as a significant move, leveraging his popularity among the youth and aspirants preparing for competitive exams.
