
The Indian Army on Sunday confirmed a brief exchange of fire at the Nagrota Military Station in Jammu and Kashmir following suspicious movement near the station’s perimeter. According to official sources, an alert sentry noticed movement and issued a challenge, which led to a short burst of firing with the suspected intruder(s). The sentry sustained a minor injury in the incident.
“Search operations are underway to track the intruder(s),” Army officials stated, while also confirming that the situation is under control and no further contact has been reported so far.

Initial reports, citing sources from Times Now, had claimed that seven Pakistani terrorists dressed in Indian Army fatigues had attacked an EPU unit in Nagrota, allegedly injuring three Indian soldiers. These claims led to widespread concern and speculation online.
The updated statement clarified that there was no large-scale terror attack, and the incident was limited to an intrusion attempt that was swiftly contained by Indian Army personnel.
