
On Friday, on the occasion of the 71st birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation initiated to plant 71,000 young trees, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel had also taken participation in the drive.
According to the statement of officials, the tree plantation is formed on Japanese techniques to make sure they grow close to each other so that the plot resembles a forest, carried out near Lal Bahadur Shastri Lake.
According to the news agency PTI, the plot is being named the Narendra Modi forest, it is being planned by the civic body to plant one million trees this year in 2021. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said to PTI, “The trees will help increase the green cover in the city. We should plant as many trees as possible to reduce pollution”
Gujarat’s chief minister will also join the mega 20-day public outreach, “Seva and Samarpan” which will continue till October 7 to also commemorate his 20 years in public life. Earlier in the morning, President Ram Nath Kovind and other ministers greeted PM Modi on his 71st birthday, his leadership was also being praised by BJP leaders.
PM Modi was born in Gujarat in 1950, at an early age he joined RSS knowns as the Hindutva organization and after that, he joined BJP. In 2001 he became the chief minister of Gujarat, he was chief minister of Gujarat for three consecutive terms, and then in 2014, he became the Prime Minister of India and for the second time 2019.
