Actor Karam Batth organises a Marathon Torch Run

Indo-Canadian actor Karam Batth has always been an advocate of human rights and is organizing a 3-day ‘Marathon Torch Run’, which began today i.e March 1, 2021.

Karam along with other supporters started the run at around 10 am from Sirhind and will conclude it at the Singhu Border on March 3. The flame of the torch will remain burning throughout the Marathon.

Speaking about the idea behind this event, Karam says, “It’s an excellent method of showing support and will help in raising global awareness about the issue. We are hoping that this marathon will inspire for peaceful & early discussions between the government and farmers, leading to a satisfactory solution for both sides.”

He added, “I was inspired by the Canadian athlete and cancer patient Terry Fox, who ran from Vancouver to Toronto to raise awareness and money for cancer research.”

On the work front, Karam is working on the biopic of Padma Shri Kaur Singh, the only Indian boxer to ever fight the legendary Muhammad Ali. The film will be released soon.
