Domestic market sentiment remained subdued on Tuesday (June 6) as weak global cues influenced the equity benchmarks, resulting in a flat close for both the Sensex and the Nifty. IT stocks contributed to the downward pressure on the market.
Among the Nifty50 stocks, 28 ended the day in positive territory while 21 ended in the red. Power Grid was the only stock that closed with no change.
In terms of gainers, UltraTech Cement (up 2.91%), Divi’s Labs (up 2.23%), and Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 1.94%) emerged as the top performers in the Nifty index.
Conversely, Tech Mahindra (down 1.92%), Infosys (down 1.82%), TCS (down 1.60%), and Wipro (down 1.04%) experienced the most significant losses among the Nifty stocks.
