UltraTech Cement displayed a positive trend in trading, marking a 0.50% increase and opening at Rs 8,289.00 compared to its previous closing price of Rs 8,254.85. The company’s performance in the second quarter ending September 30, 2023, reflected a significant uptick, with consolidated sales surging by 15.54% to 26.69 million tonnes (MT) year-on-year.
In the corresponding period last year, UltraTech Cement had produced 23.10 MT of cement. The domestic market proved to be a significant contributor, with total sales volume rising by 15.37% to 25.66 MT during the reviewed quarter, a notable improvement from the 22.24 MT recorded in Q2/FY23.
UltraTech Cement’s grey cement production in the domestic sector reached 25.24 MT in the September quarter of FY24, indicating a remarkable growth of 15.46%. Additionally, the company’s white cement production stood at 0.42 MT, showing a commendable increase of 10.52%.
