Tata Power shares surge 2.5% on Rs 1,755 crore solar project order

Shares of Tata Power surge over 2% in trade as the company plans to set up a 4 gigawatt solar cell & modules plant. has received Letter of Award (LoA) of ₹ 1,755 crore to set up a 300 MW solar project for NLC India Limited in Rajasthan. The company is also awarded 4,000 megawatt capacity under cell and modules basket, under the PLI (Performance Linked Incentive) scheme.

Tata Power hit a day’s high of Rs 191.60 on the NSE today. The stock had closed at Rs 185 on Wednesday. At 1:20 PM, the stock was up 2.5% at Rs 190.

In another development, the board of the company appointed Praveer Sinha as their MD & CEO for the next four years.
