The SGX Nifty signals a flat start with a positive bias for Sensex, Nifty today. Cues from US markets remained positive as Dow Jones, S&P 500 and Nasdaq ended in the green on Thursday. The Nifty now will be in a range of 16,830 to 17,220, according to analysts. Immediate support for the Nifty today is at 16,978 and 17,120 will be the immediate resistance for the Nifty today.
Top stocks to watch today are Tata Power, GR Infraprojects, BEL, Maharashtra Seamless, besides others.
Tata Power: Shares of Tata Power will be in focus as Tata Power Solar Systems Limited (TPSSL) has received Letter of Award (LoA) of ₹ 1,755 crore to set up a 300 MW solar project for NLC India Limited in Rajasthan. Besides, the company’s current MD & CEO Praveer Sinha is reappointed as the MD & CEO for next four years.
GR Infraprojects: GR Infra has been the stock in focus since last few days and will be in focus today as the company has received multiple Letter of Awards from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) worth Rs 4,074.5 crore.
Bharat Electronics (BEL): Bharat Electronics will be in focus today after the Ministry of Defense signed 12 contracts with the company worth Rs 8,200 crore for Indian Armed Forces.
Maharashtra Seamless: Maharashtra Seamless has received orders from ONGC Limited with cumulative basic value of Rs. 537 crore for supply of seamless casing pipes.
