Stock Market update: Sensex jumps over 700 points on first day of trading 2022

Bajaj FinServ has been the top gainer on Sensex, with its stocks rising by 3.47%.

Indian Share markets have surged on the first day of trading in 2022. BSE SENSEX has jumped over 800 points on Monday, 3 January 2022 and has hit a high of 59,069.64. Whereas, NIFTY 50 has jumped over 200 points, touching a high of 17,592.35 today. Stock Market has outperformed despite the chaos around the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bajaj FinServ has been the top gainer on Sensex, with its stocks rising to 3.47% to Rs 16,958.20 and Bajaj Finance has acquired second place with the rise of 3.13% to Rs 7,195 in its share price per unit. ICICI Bank, AXIS Bank, HDFC Bank, and SBI also contributed with the rise by 2.73%, 2.31%, 2.14%, and 1.92% respectively.

On the other hand, Eicher Motors has been the top gainer on NIFTY 50, with its stocks rising up to 4.79% to Rs 2,716.00 per unit. Coal India and Tata Motors also contributed significantly with the rise of 4.59% at Rs 152.75 per unit and 2.99% at Rs 496.80 per unit respectively.
