Sensex jumps 650 pts led by Banks, Auto stocks

The equity market performed well throughout the trading session as it opened with a rise of 326 points high at 60,070.39.

On Monday, January 10, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex rallied by 650.98 points, crossing 60,000 to 60,395.63 points, on the strength of Banks & Auto stocks. Nifty on the NSE was recorded at 18,003.30.

The equity market performed well throughout the trading session as it opened with a rise of 326 points high at 60,070.39. The market closed at 60,395.63, up by 650.98 points from its previous close. The days high & low of Sensex were registered at 60,427.36 and 59,987.18 respectively. Whereas the Nifty recorded the day’s high and low at 18,017.45 and 17,879.15.

Titan was the major gainer in scrips, it went up by 3.12 per cent to Rs 2,653. Bank stock SBI & Kotak Bank were up by 2.71% & 2.44% respective. L&T construction stocks went up by 2.46% after bagging an order from NHSRCL. The top loser was Wipro as it went down by 2.24% to Rs 695.30.
