Q4 results today: JSW net profits dipped by 86%, UPL profits double to Rs. 617 crore

The Indian Indices on Friday ended on a red mark with Nifty fallen 67 points at Rs. 9,039 and Sensex sunk down to 30,673 with 260 points, making it the third week for the trading session to close low.

JSW released its quarter-four results ending in March, which showed the company’s net profit to drop by 86 percent to Rs. 242 crore. Whereas, UPL limited posted a 147 percent increase in its quarter-four net profits.

Here are the Q4 results of five companies as of May 22, 2020:

  1. JSW steels:

The steelmaking company on Friday released its quarter-four results which indicated 85.98 percent year-on-year (YoY) dip to Rs. 242 crore in its standalone net profit against Rs. 1,727 crore in the same quarter last year. The firm’s stocks ended on a low by 2 percent at 166.

  1. BOSCH limited:

For the fourth quarter which ended in March, the company reported an 80.29 percent drop in its consolidated net profit to Rs. 81.14 crore compared to Rs. 412 crore in the same quarter in FY19. The company stated that owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a drastic slowdown.

  1. Alembic Pharma:

The drug company on Friday reported an 81 percent rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs. 225 crores in the fourth quarter ended in March as compared to Rs. 124 crore in the same quarter last year. The consolidated revenue from operations for FY2020 stood at Rs. 4,605.75 crores.

  1. UPL:

The multinational company on Friday released its quarter-four earnings ended in March which showed a double-fold increase in its net profits. The firm posted a 147 percent increase to Rs 617 crore against Rs 250 crore in the same quarter in FY19. The stock of the firm ended 2 percent higher at Rs 373 on the last day of this trading week.

  1. Godrej Industries:

For the March quarter for FY20, the corporation stated the consolidated net profit to be at Rs. 102.08 crores against a net profit of Rs. 424 crore in the fourth quarter last year. The revenue operations in the current quarter stand at 3,121 crores. Total expenses for the quarter reported by the company stand to be at Rs. 3,089.51 crores.
