Metropolis Healthcare shares decline as CEO relieved from duties

Metropolis Healthcare said that they have appointed a talent search agency to find a suitable candidate for the position of CEO.

Metropolis Healthcare Ltd is the largest diagnostic company in India which specialises in pathology and has a presence overseas in 7 countries.

The company’s CEO Vijender Singh was relieved from his duties on 22nd July 2022 but was asked to serve a notice period till 30th November. However, Singh was released from the company during the closing hours of 17th August.

Metropolis Healthcare said that they have appointed a talent search agency to find a suitable candidate for the position of CEO.

Singh joined Jashvik Capital, an India-focused growth private equity firm, as Operating Partner.

On a consolidated basis company’s net profit declined 55.40% to Rs 33.40 crore and a 14.35% fall in net sales to Rs 279.86 crore in Q1 June 2022 over Q1 June 2021.

Shares of Metropolis Healthcare fell 0.24% to Rs 1452.60 on Thursday (18 August 2022).

Before joining Metropolis Healthcare he was the Chief Operations Officer at Dr Lal Path Labs, which is one of India’s top healthcare diagnostic companies,

He also held executive positions at Bausch and Lomb and Ranbaxy Labs’ OTC/Wellness division.
