Metal futures fell on the MCX, Gold touches a low of Rs 50,766

Gold prices fell 0.49% to touch Rs 50,766 per 10 gram. December Silver touched a low of Rs 62,126 per kg, down by 0.8%.

The metal futures on the MCX fell on Tuesday caused by a rebound in dollar value. Gold prices fell 0.49% to touch Rs 50,766 per 10 gram. December Silver touched a low of Rs 62,126 per kg, down by 0.8%.

Gold futures opened at Rs 50,870, while Silver futures opened at Rs 62,401.

“There is a rebound in the dollar index. In the absence of further dollar downside, gold bulls are feeling a little jittery at the moment”, said Howie Lee, economist at OCBC Bank.

Spot gold in the global market dipped 0.5% to $1,910 per ounce.
