At 9:16 IST, Sensex was up by 189 points or 0.51% at 37129, Nifty adding 54 points or 0.50% at 10946.

Yesterday, Nifty closed 182 points, or 1.64 percent, down at 10,891.60 on August 3 while Sensex finished 667 points, or 1.77 percent, down at 36,939.60.

Stocks of Bandhan Bank, Infosys, BSE and KEC in focus for the trading session on Tuesday, Bandhan bank -Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore PTE, Camas Investments PTE, Caladium Investment PTE, Copthall Mauritius Investment, Societe Generale and Credit Suisse Singapore bought shares of the lender in bulk deals, data on BSE showed.
