
BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading in the green on Wednesday. BSE Sensex was up by 87 points to trade at an all-time high of 56,198 while Nifty50 was up by 47 points to trade at 16,712.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) were up by 2 per cent and 1.3 per cent to become the top gainers of the day. Bajaj Finserv’s share prices dropped by 3.3%. Titan, Axis Bank, and Bharti Airtel were the top losers of the day.
Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (HAL) shares surged 7% to reach 52 weeks high of Rs 1,245.90. The company, on August 14 reached a record high of Rs. 1,424.
Tata Sons reported a loss of 62% Rs 9,460.24 crore in FY21 as compared to Rs 24,770.46 crore reported in 2020.
According to the State Bank of India’s Ecowrap report, the GDP of India is expected to grow by 18.5% in 2021. The estimate is lower than RBI’s 21.4% projection.
