Itanagar, May 3: Paying a visit to Seppa, the headquarters of East Kameng district in Arunachal Pradesh, Union Minister of State for Finance Dr Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad on Wednesday chaired a district level developmental meeting with all the head of departments of the district at the Kameng Hall of DC office, Seppa.
The Union Minister while highlighting the centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) appealed to the respective departments to implement the schemes in letter and spirit, and ensure the schemes’ benefits reach the rural interior areas, official sources said.
He also emphasised on financial inclusion for overall development of the people and to enhance the country’s economic growth.
Besides interacting with public and district officials, the Union Minister also visited the Anganwadi centre at Pampoli (where he distributed TV sets), Van Dhan Vikas Kendra at Wessang, SBI Seppa branch and the District Hospital at Seppa.
During the visit, Dr Karad was accompanied by Environment & Forests, and Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Mama Natung, Bameng MLA Goruk Pordung, Seppa East MLA Tapuk Taku and General Manager of State Bank of India, Itanagar, Suranjana Dutta, sources added.
