1. Sleeping on your belly

This sleeping position is not recommended by doctors. Those who suffer from back pain should not sleep in this position because this won’t help you deal with the discomfort.

2. Sleeping on the back

Sleeping on the back leads to sleep apnea and snoring and this affects the quality of your sleep. This may cause hypertension and cardiovascular issues.

3. Sleeping on the side

This is the healthiest sleeping position. This is the most comfortable position of all. Sleeping on the side relieves both neck and back pain. It helps in improving digestion too.

4. Fetal Position

This position prevents snoring but it won’t help you get rid of backpain because this curved position increases the intensity of pain and it restricts diaphragmatic breathing.

5. Sleeping on the left side

This position is highly recommended for pregnant women. It boosts blood circulation and this encourages the movement of nutrients all over the body.

6. Starfish Position

It leads to snoring and back pain but it will be beneficial for acid reflux.
