1. Kandla Port, Gujarat
The Gujarati port of Kandla has to be the oldest and maybe busiest port in India. It is situated around 90 miles from Kutch and is regarded as India’s main port. It is located in Kandla creek. The port was built in the 1950s, when India and Pakistan were divided.
2. Nhava Sheva, Maharashtra
Despite its unique name, the port—which is the largest container port in India—is often referred to as the Jawaharlal Nehru Port. One of the busiest ports in the nation, it is located in Maharashtra’s Konkan. It is also known as the “King Port” across the Arabian Sea and handles a variety of products for export and import.
3. Mumbai Port
The Mumbai port is situated on the West Mumbai mainland. It’s India’s biggest port. It is 10–12 meters deep and a natural harbour. Approximately 25% of India’s foreign trade is handled by it.
