Mumbai Police made a Nawazuddin Siddiqui meme in order to create awareness about COVID-19

Mumbai Police has shared a meme of Nawazuddin Siddiqui on their social media platforms to spread awareness about the Coronavirus pandemic and the importance of wearing a mask.

Owing to the widespread of COVID-19 pandemic and people raising questions over masks being compulsory to be worn in order to stop the virus from spreading, the Mumbai Police has kept with the trend and has shared a meme of Nawazuddin Siddiqui to spread the awareness of the virus and importance of the masks.

The meme is a still from a recently released Netflix Original Movie “Serious Men” which has Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the centre of the whole story. The meme reads:

“They: ‘Why do I’ve to put on masks round my buddies and colleagues? That’s so silly!
Me: For the sake of science, Sir.”

This came after a group of people gathered at the Marine Drive in Mumbai and protested against the masks being compulsory and such other rules stretched by the government. This group of people protesting are being called as the “Non-maskers” or the “anti-maskers”. However, after this tweet by the Mumbai Police, the comment section of this tweet is filled with trollers who are determined to troll the authority by framing a meme in the same manner. One of them read,

“Mumbai Police:Why do we have to save sadhus at palghar & investigate sushant murder professionally? They r not important people!
Me:For the sake of shame,sir.”
