India records 3,805 COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours

India recorded 3,805 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking the total tally of cases to 4,30,98,743 in the country, as per the Health Ministry data on Saturday.

As many as 22 fresh fatalities were also recorded in the last 24 hours. Taking the total death count in the country, as a result of Novel Coronavirus, to 524024. The active cases stand at 20,303. Which now comprises 0.05 per cent of the total infections. While the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands to 98.74 per cent. In the last 24 hours, 3168 recoveries were reported, increasing the total recoveries of 4,25,54,416.

Meanwhile in Delhi, 1656 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Friday, with a positivity rate of 5.39 per cent. On vaccination front, the government has been continuously speeding up the drive across the country. According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry on Saturday, 83.03 Crore tests for COVID-19 have been done so far. In the past 24 hours, a total of 4,87,544 tests have been conducted. “India has administered 190.00 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine so far. Under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive”. The Ministry data said. More than 193.53 crore more vaccine doses have been provided to the States/UTs so far. Over 18.64 crore balance and unutilized COVID-19 vaccine doses are still available. With the States/UTs to be administered, added the Ministry.
