How United States agrees to help India by lifting ban on export of COVID-19 vaccine raw materials!

The United States is working around the clock to deploy available resources and supplies.

US agrees to send the raw material to India to manufacturing coronavirus vaccine on large scale by nit only that India will export the vaccine globally and This could have possible only because of one man National Security Advisor Mr. Ajit Doval.

NSA Ajit Doval did important meeting with the US counter part NSA Jake Sullivan. For which, White House had released a statement, “The United States is working around the clock to deploy available resources and supplies. The United States has identified sources of specific raw material urgently required for Indian manufacture of the Covishield vaccine that will immediately be made available for India. To help treat COVID-19 patients and protect front-line health workers in India.”

The statement further quotes, “The United States has identified supplies of therapeutics, rapid diagnostic test kits, ventilators, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that will immediately be made available for India. The United States also is pursuing options to provide oxygen generation and related supplies on an urgent basis.”

The U.S. Development Finance Corporation (DFC) is funding a substantial expansion of manufacturing capability for BioE, the vaccine manufacturer in India, enabling BioE to ramp up to produce at least 1 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines by the end of 2022.

Additionally, the United States is deploying an expert team of public health advisors from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and USAID to work in close collaboration with the U.S.

Embassy, India’s health ministries, and India’s Epidemic Intelligence Service staff, USAID will also quickly work with CDC to support and fast-track the mobilization of emergency resources available to India through the Global Fund.

So USA, who initial denied is now reaching out to India with more than supplying of raw material.

Secretary Antony Blinken tweets, “Our hearts go out to the Indian people in the midst of the horrific COVID-19 outbreak. We are working closely with our partners in the Indian government, and we will rapidly deploy additional support to the people of India and India’s health care heroes.”

What are the reasons behind this ‘help’ ?

Pressure of criticism on social media,

First, The US government went into damage control after facing widespread criticism, especially on social media, for allegedly turning a deaf ear to the dire Covid-19 situation in countries like India and Brazil.

Even, American civil society, lawmakers, and businesses joined the denunciation of Washington over its “Americans First” approach even as countries like India are reeling under Covid-19 crisis.

The CEO of serum institute of India had also tweet and requested to President of USA to provide raw material on immediate basis

Second, US has realised and said “Just as India sent assistance to the United States as our hospitals were strained early in the pandemic, the United States is determined to help India in its time of need.”

Third, US also depends on India as well, Just like India using COVAXIN and Covishield in their vaccination program similarly USA manufacture Pfizer and Moderna vaccine for their vaccination program but the raw material for this vaccine has export by India

Mumbai headquartered pharma and nutraceutical special ingredient maker VAV Lifesciences and its subsidiary VAV Lipids is supplying highly purified synthetic phospholipids’ required for vaccine manufacturing in US

And the final reason behind this medical aid is, the negotiations led by NSA Ajit Doval.
