Amid the battle with such an unprecedented second wave of Covid-19, Bhutan extends support to India signalling a manifestation of the unbreakable ties with India.
“Bhutan will supply life-saving liquid oxygen to India which is battling an unprecedented second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, signalling a practical manifestation of the ‘uniquely close and friendly bilateral ties’,” says the Indian Embassy on Tuesday.
The Embassy added, “Every day 40 metric tonnes of liquid oxygen produced by the oxygen plant will be exported to Assam using cryogenic tankers”.

Well, Bhutan will be supplying liquid oxygen to India from the new plant being set up at Motanga Industrial Estate, Samdrup Jongkhar district by a Bhutanese Company, S D Cryogenics Gases Pvt Ltd.
Furthermore, the Indian Embassy in Bhutan added, “The provision of oxygen by Bhutan will augment India’s effort to win the fight against Covid-19 and save precious lives.”
Although, India has been struggling with the detrimental second wave of Covid-19 with more than 3,00,000 cases coming up on a daily basis. The total number of cases reported in the last 24 hours stands at 3,23,623.
In addition to this, the Covid-19 vaccination is being carried out at a swift pace. 33,59,963 people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours, as per the reports issued by the Union Health Ministry.
