Suzlon Energy shares surge 5%, hits Upper Circuit on securing nation’s largest wind energy order earlier this week

The order, awarded by NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), involves the installation of 1,166 MW of wind turbine generators (WTGs), marking a significant milestone for Suzlon.

Suzlon will install 370 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.15 MW, across two projects in Gujarat for NTPC Renewable Energy Limited and one for IndianOil NTPC Green Energy Pvt. Ltd. This order brings Suzlon’s cumulative order book to nearly 5 GW as of September 2024, reinforcing the company’s position as a leader in India’s renewable energy sector.
