
Tata Motors has been awarded a significant contract by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) to supply 1,000 Tata LPO 1618 diesel bus chassis.
The delivery will occur in phases as per the terms agreed between Tata Motors and UPSRTC. This contract strengthens Tata Motors’ position as a leading provider of commercial vehicles in India.
The order was awarded through a competitive e-bidding process, according to a statement from the company.
Tata Motors also mentioned that the bus chassis will be supplied in phases based on terms mutually agreed upon with UPSRTC.
Anand S, Head of Commercial Passenger Vehicle Business at Tata Motors, said, “The Tata LPO 1618 bus chassis is designed for reliable mobility with high uptime and low maintenance costs. We are eager to begin supplies in line with UPSRTC’s guidance.”
