Stocks to watch today: Devyani International, HAL, GCPL, Varun Beverages, Sona BLW in focus on brokerage updates

Several stocks are in focus today as leading brokerages have issued fresh recommendations and revised target prices.

Macquarie has maintained an ‘Outperform’ rating on Devyani International with a target price of ₹230, citing potential demand growth from proposed tax reductions in the budget. The brokerage sees strong tailwinds for KFC India, Thailand, and other brands despite short-term challenges. Macquarie believes the stock could double by FY28 with 10-11% same-store sales growth (SSSG) and sharp margin expansion.

UBS has cut its target price on Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) to ₹4,800 from ₹5,700 but maintains a ‘Buy’ rating, arguing that market concerns are misplaced. The firm expects limited impact on FY26/27 earnings, with defense orders likely to ramp up in FY26 and HAL’s order book expected to grow 3x by FY27.

Goldman Sachs (GS) remains bullish on Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL), maintaining a ‘Buy’ rating with a target price of ₹1,370. The brokerage calls Q3 an aberration in an otherwise strong growth trajectory and expects GCPL to be the fastest-growing FMCG company in its coverage in FY26, backed by structural market share gains in household insecticides (HI) and margin recovery in soaps.

DAM Capital has reiterated a ‘Buy’ rating on Varun Beverages, raising its target price to ₹670, stating that the recent stock correction presents an attractive entry point. It expects demand to accelerate due to a prolonged summer and 20% YoY capacity expansion, projecting a 19% sales CAGR and 26% EPS CAGR over CY24-26.

Meanwhile, Citi has maintained a ‘Buy’ rating on Sona BLW Precision Forgings, trimming its target price to ₹570 due to near-term risks such as lower global demand and possible delays in existing orders. However, the brokerage sees long-term strength in Sona’s large order book and product diversification, justifying its positive stance despite a valuation cut.

Investors will closely track these stocks as markets react to the brokerage updates and sector trends.
