On September 12, 2024, the stock market saw significant activity. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) made net purchases of Rs 7,695 crore in the cash segment. This marks a strong influx of capital into the market.

Today’s turnover showed a robust performance across both cash and futures & options (F&O) segments. The total cash volume on NSE and BSE combined was Rs 1,29,838.26 crore, with F&O volume reaching Rs 3,16,7202.53 crore.

In terms of fund flow, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) recorded net sales of Rs 1,800.54 crore. This indicates a shift in their investment strategy.

On the equity front, all Nifty 50 stocks, except Nestle, ended the day with gains. Hindalco, Bharti Airtel, and NTPC were among the top performers. Sectoral indices also posted gains, with metals, automobiles, capital goods, technology, and power sectors advancing by 2-4 percent.
