
On Monday, the Indian indices opened at a high with Nifty over 9,700 level. At close, Sensex was up by 879 points or 2.7 percent at 33,303.5. Further, Nifty ended high for the fourth day in a row with 245 points or 2.5 percent at 9,826.
The trading session’s gains were led mainly by financial with Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserve turn out to be top gainers. Moreover, around 1862 shares have advanced, 583 shares declined, and 137 shares are unchanged. In addition, all sectoral indices ended on the green side including Nifty Pharma which was at low in the early trade.

- The indices gained for the fourth day in a row. However, it closed lower than the Intra-day high.
- Sensex and Nifty ended higher above 2 percent at 33,303 and 9,826, respectively.
- The top Nifty gainers comprise Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Titan Company, Tata Steel, and M&M.
- Whereas Dr. Reddys Labs, Bharti Infratel, Ultra Tech Cement, Nestle, and Sun Pharma carry the title of Nifty losers in today’s trading session.
- All the sectoral indices ended on the green side. Moreover, Nifty Auto gained 3 percent to end at 6,419.5.
- Similarly, BSE midcap and smallcap also ended positively by gaining between 2 to 3 percent.
- Reddy’s lab fails to revive in the session and ended low by 3 percent at 3,953.5.
- Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC, IndusInd Bank, and Kotak Mahindra are also in the top gainers’ list in today’s session.
- Voltas shares surged towards the end by 12.4 percent. Earlier, the company reported a hike in its consolidated net profit in the Q4.
- HCL shares also ended on a positive note after the company declared its aim to procure Cisco’s Self-Optimising Network (SON) technology.
