Solex Energy shares surged nearly 6% on Tuesday after the company announced that it has received approval for 3.78 GW of solar module manufacturing capacity under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).

In an announcement made on 9 March 2026, the company said its manufacturing facility located at Tadkeshwar on the Kim–Mandvi Road in Surat has been enlisted under the ALMM with a solar photovoltaic module manufacturing capacity of 3,782 MW per year.

The ALMM listing includes high-efficiency bifacial N-Type TOPCon solar modules with power ratings of up to 625 Wp. These modules are designed to support large-scale solar power projects and are expected to strengthen Solex Energy’s presence in India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.

The inclusion of Solex Energy’s modules under the ALMM framework confirms that the company’s products meet the stringent quality, reliability, and domestic manufacturing standards set by the Government of India. Solar modules listed under the ALMM are eligible for use in government-backed solar projects and public procurement programmes, which could enhance the company’s business opportunities in the domestic market.

Solex Energy operates a fully automated, Industry 4.0-enabled manufacturing facility at Tadkeshwar, Gujarat. The plant currently has a total production capacity of 4 GW for photovoltaic modules, making it one of the advanced solar manufacturing facilities in the country.
