RVNL shares jump 2% after bagging Rs 554.65 crore highway project from NHAI

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) shares surged 2% on March 20, 2025, following the company’s announcement of securing a major infrastructure contract from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The project involves the construction of a six-lane access-controlled road connecting Visakhapatnam Port Road from Sabbavaram bypass to Sheelanagar junction in Andhra Pradesh.

The contract, awarded under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), is part of National Highway 516C and falls under the National Highway (O) initiative. The project is valued at ₹554.65 crore (excluding GST) and is expected to be completed within 730 days.

RVNL clarified in its regulatory filing that the contract was awarded in the normal course of business and does not involve related party transactions. Additionally, the company confirmed that neither its promoters nor group companies have any vested interest in the awarding entity.

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) shares witnessed fluctuations in today’s trading session. The stock opened at ₹360.20, reaching a high of ₹366.70 and a low of ₹352.55. Currently, RVNL’s 52-week high stands at ₹647.00, while the 52-week low is ₹243.00.
