Rupee rises 9 paise to 82.78 per dollar, recouping Friday’s losses

Rupee today: The rupee recovers all of its previous session losses to gain against the dollar.

The rupee recovers all of its previous session losses to gain versus the dollar, despite cautious trading and reduced liquidity due to many markets being closed for holidays.

The native currency was last trading at 82.7813 per dollar, according to Bloomberg, after losing 9 paise to close at 82.8650 in the previous session on Friday.

The rupee increased 3 paise to 82.79 against the US dollar in early trade, according to PTI.
