Railway stocks were under selling pressure as Nifty declined by 1.27% (-285.85 points) to 22,259.20. Titagarh was the biggest loser in the sector, falling 4.02% to ₹711.35. IRCON also witnessed a significant drop of 3.10%, closing at ₹144.21. RITES declined 2.98%, ending the session at ₹206.50.

Other railway stocks followed the downward trend, with Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) down 1.97% to ₹343.15. Jupiter Wagons (JWL) slipped 2.07% to ₹293.15, while Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) declined 2.21% to ₹117.70. BEML saw a decrease of 2.30%, closing at ₹2,511.00.

Texmaco Rail & Engineering (TEXRAIL) was down 2.38% to ₹131.39, and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) fell 2.46% to ₹677.25.

The railway sector mirrored the broader market’s negative sentiment, with selling pressure observed across the board.
