Ashoka Buildcon’s Q2 numbers show a muted performance on a year-on-year basis, with all key indicators declining. The company reported a sharp drop in profitability alongside lower revenue and weaker operating performance.
For the quarter, net profit fell 83% to about ₹78.06 crore, compared to ₹457.03 crore in the same period last year. The decline reflects reduced earnings momentum and softer overall execution during the quarter.
Revenue also slipped, coming in 25.6% lower at around ₹1,851 crore against ₹2,489 crore a year earlier. The contraction in topline naturally weighed on operating metrics as well.
EBITDA dropped 35.4% to nearly ₹585 crore, compared to ₹905 crore in the previous year’s Q2. With operating profit thinning, the margin narrowed too. The EBITDA margin stood at 31.6%, down from 36.3% last year, indicating weaker operating leverage.
