
The National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) has delivered a robust performance for Q3FY25, reporting a 94% year-on-year (YoY) surge in net profit to Rs 3,834 crore, up from Rs 1,975 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, net profit increased by 22% from Rs 3,137 crore in Q2FY25.
Revenue and Operating Performance
Consolidated revenue for the quarter stood at Rs 4,349 crore, reflecting a 24% YoY growth compared to Rs 3,517 crore in Q3FY24. However, on a sequential basis, revenue declined by 4% from Rs 4,510 crore in the previous quarter. This decline was primarily due to reduced trading volumes across cash and derivatives markets.
Revenue from transaction charges, a major contributor, stood at Rs 3,445 crore, down 4% QoQ, owing to a drop in trading activity. Operating EBITDA showed a 50% YoY growth at Rs 3,398 crore, with a 2% sequential increase.
