
Shares of KPI Green Energy surged 5.46% to ₹437.55 in early trade on Tuesday after the company posted a sharp year-on-year rise in net profit for the March quarter. The stock rose by ₹22.65 from its previous close of ₹414.90, as investors responded positively to the company’s robust financial performance.
KPI Green Energy reported a net profit of ₹104.2 crore in Q4 FY25, a 142% increase from ₹43 crore in the same quarter last year. The strong profitability was supported by significant growth in operational revenues and improved efficiency.
Total revenue for the quarter stood at ₹577.80 crore, compared to ₹292.97 crore in Q4 FY24. Revenue from operations came in at ₹569.41 crore, driven largely by the Captive Power Project segment, which contributed ₹504.08 crore during the quarter. Profit before tax rose to ₹138.70 crore, while total expenses increased to ₹430.81 crore.
For the full financial year FY25, net profit more than doubled to ₹325.28 crore, from ₹161.66 crore in FY24. Total revenue for the year stood at ₹1,755.16 crore, up from ₹1,030.82 crore the year before.
At 10:04 AM, the company’s market capitalization stood at ₹86,450 crore with the stock trading in a range of ₹408.00 to ₹442.00 during the session.
