JSW Energy shares drop 3% on weak Q2 FY25 results

JSW Energy shares dropped more than 3% in morning trade after the company reported a flat net profit of Rs 853.25 crore in Q2 FY25.

The firm reported a revenue of ₹3,238 crore, a 0.7% decline from ₹3,259 crore the same time last year. JSW Energy’s net profit increased by 4.4% year-on-year to ₹876.76 crore in Q2 FY25, from ₹856.79 crore in Q2 FY24.

In the first half of the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024, the firm recorded total revenue of ₹6,117 crore and net profit of ₹1,410.92 crore, showing stable performance.

As of 9:39 am,  JSW Energy shares were trading 3.49% lower at Rs 647.55 on the NSE.
