IRCTC Q3 profit jumps to ₹256 crore, declares interim dividend

The company has also declared an interim dividend of ₹3.50 per share

IRCTC, Indian Railways’ tourism and ticketing subsidiary, recorded a consolidated net profit of ₹256 crore for the December quarter (Q3 FY23), increasing 22.8% over the previous year period.

Net profit after tax increased 13% sequentially from ₹226 crore in the September quarter (Q2 FY23).

Revenue from operations increased by 70% to ₹918 crore in the December quarter, compared to ₹540 crore in the same quarter last year.

In addition, the business announced an interim dividend of ₹3.50 per share, which equals 175% of the paid-up share capital of 160 crore.

The business has set Wednesday, February 22, 2023, as the record date for the payment of the aforementioned dividend for the fiscal year 2022–2023.

On Tuesday, IRCTC shares increased 0.72% to ₹645.90 per share on the NSE.
