HSBC has maintained a hold rating on HDFC Asset Management Company (AMC) with a target price of ₹4,350 per share, indicating an 11.57% upside from the current market price of ₹3,899.05.
The brokerage attributes the strong profit growth in Q3 to rationalisation of commission payouts and controlled operating costs. However, HSBC highlights concerns regarding stagnating market share in equity AUM and SIP flows, which could weigh on the stock’s premium valuations. It has also revised its FY25-27 EPS estimates upwards by 0.4-4.1%.
