Shares of Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd (GSFC) jumped 4.67% to ₹208.24 as of 9:19 AM on Thursday after the company reported a strong set of Q1FY25 earnings. The stock opened at ₹206.80, up from the previous close of ₹198.94, and touched an intraday high of ₹208.80.

For the quarter ended June 2024, GSFC’s consolidated profit after tax rose 93.3% sequentially to ₹139 crore from ₹72 crore. Revenue grew 13.6% QoQ to ₹2,184 crore, while EBITDA surged 141.1% to ₹193 crore. EBITDA margin expanded sharply to 8.8% from 4.2% in Q4FY25. On a YoY basis, EBITDA rose 75.6% and margins improved to 9% from 5%.

The company attributed its performance to a combination of strong operational efficiency and favorable market conditions.
