Angel One Business Update and Stock Surge
Angel One recorded the addition of 0.61 million clients in January, marking a 2.1% month-on-month (MoM) increase and an impressive 47.5% year-on-year (YoY) rise in its total client base, which now stands at 30.13 million. Despite the growth in client additions, gross client acquisition saw a decline of 15.4% MoM and 36% YoY.
In trading activity, the firm’s notional turnover rose by 6.2% MoM but declined 29.8% YoY. The futures & options (F&O) segment reflected similar trends, with 6.3% MoM growth but a 30.6% YoY decline. Angel One processed 125.96 million orders in January, representing a 5.4% MoM rise but a 24.3% YoY drop.
Motilal Oswal and Other Capital Market Players Gain
Shares of Motilal Oswal Financial Services jumped 12.80% to ₹724.70, making it one of the top gainers in the capital markets today. CAMS, another significant player in financial services, saw its shares increase by 6.51% on the NSE to ₹3,742.55, while CDSL rose by 4.68% to ₹1,350.95.

- Nippon Life India AMC posted a 5.11% increase, reaching ₹610.
